Kermit Erasmus scored his first goal for Mamelodi Sundowns this past weekend as Masandawana beat Kaizer Chiefs in the opening game of the 2020/21 season of the DSTV Premiership. The Bafana international was beaming with a smile and said that “I am happy to get off the mark, a good start for me, first game, first goal. I just want to keep adding to the tally and take it one game at a time. The league is a marathon, not a sprint as we all know and hopefully, we gel as a team and keep getting better”.
In the 2019/20 season, the Port Elizabeth born scored thirteen goals in twenty-five games. He made his Mamelodi Sundowns debut in the MTN 8 clash against Bloemfontein Celtic.
“Stats are important in the game and unfortunately, as a striker, you are judged by the number of goals you score and not by your performance. Scoring for me is important, it helps me contribute to the team and win games. I want to continue doing that, if not, I want to help where I am needed, assisting, defending, and in the attack”.
His debut goal for the Brazilians was topped off by a celebration and he said this to explain the dance. “The celebration was inspired by my nephew, I saw him doing his favourite dance and I told his father that I will do the dance when I score the first goal for Sundowns. When I was doing the celebration it felt good knowing that they were watching at home”.
Great start. Welcome home Romeo 👆
I read an article from other publication that Kapinga might be loaned if that is the truth my lovely coaches will be making a big mistake. Just imagine him,Zwane and Sirino harassing our opponents really our strikers will find scoring much easier.

You have been scoring without real good players around you, now you will not have any excuse, get better with each game, get to the right positions, the ball will come without fail. Converting given chances will not only make you a good name, it will market you, you can soon become a hot deal. You have played football, now it’s time to enjoy your football amongst talent.
