Mamelodi Sundowns’ Diski Team are at home this weekend for yet another crucial match as they host the Chippa United Reserves at the Tuks Stadium on Saturday Morning.
It has been a week since their last fixture which saw them defeating the Stellenbosch FC Reserves in a tight 1-0 fest to retain their second place on the Reserve League tally, while still contending for the title.
They march on, looking ahead to this weekend, to face the Chippa United Reserves. The Gqeberha-based side managed to sneak a point out of their last game in the previous week at home. The results in their previous five matches, however, have not been favourable for them, having only salvaged a point. Despite having a good squad that is able to challenge teams in every game, they sit last on the log.
The last time the two sides met, the Chilli Boys were the hosts and the young Brazilians narrowly won that game, after defeating them 2-1, courtesy of Oarabile Booysen and Ntokozo Siquba’s goals.
Heading to the return fixture which will be in Masandawana’s backyard, this will be a cracker of an encounter. While the Gqeberha-based side will be looking to get the rub of the green and win their first game in five matches, coach Tiro van Rooyen’s charges will be looking to continue with their positive string of results while still fighting for the league title.
In what will be a titanic tussle, the Mamelodi Sundowns Diski Team will go head-to-head with the Chippa United Reserves on Saturday morning at the Tuks Stadium. Kick-off has been scheduled for 10H00.
