Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies are gearing up for their 13th match of the Hollywoodbets Super League as they prepare to face the University of Pretoria at the Lucas Moripe Stadium this Saturday.
The Brazilians showed grit and purpose last time out as they secured a 2-0 victory over Copperbelt Ladies at the Baroka Global Village. That victory marked their 10th of the season and their 6th clean sheet, a statistic that excites goalkeeper Sedilame Bosija.
“We have been executing our game plan well and maintaining a solid defensive shape. Keeping six clean sheets is proof of the hard work and dedication of the entire team, not just the defense. It shows that we are working together as a unit to achieve our goals. Moving forward, we aim to build on this momentum and continue delivering strong performances at both ends of the pitch,” Sedilame stated.
Ahead of the clash against Tuks, Bosija is not taking anything for granted, saying, “We aim to improve from where we left off against Copperbelt Ladies. We want to convert our chances more often because we are always creating them. Tuks is a good team that has both experienced and young players, so we need to maintain our focus and intensity throughout the match.”
Nthabiseng Majiya, who has found the back of the net six times already this season, believes it’s all hands on deck for Saturday’s game.
“We know they pose a tough challenge, but we are ready to face them head-on. Our team has been training hard, focusing on our strengths and strategies to overcome any surprise results. Saturday’s game is crucial for us and we are determined to give our best effort on the field,” the youngster said.
The clash between Sundowns Ladies and the University of Pretoria is slated for Saturday, the 25th of May, at the Lucas Moripe Stadium, with kick-off scheduled for 13:00.
