Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies team racked up their 17th win of the season when they beat Bloemfontein Celtic Ladies 3 – 0 at home and Coach Jerry Tshabalala feels they are more motivated than ever.
Heading into the clash, Tshabalala felt it would be a tough tactical game with Bloemfontein Celtic Ladies lying in 3rd place;
“It’s one of those tough games we have to play, where we dig deep.”
“They were parking the bus, so we had to move and unpark that bus. We scored early which gave us that boost going into the half.”
Two goals from Rhoda Mulaudzi meant they went into the half 2 – 0 up.
They started the Second Half the same way they finished the first and were rewarded early with another Rhoda goal which sealed the game for the Ladies Team.
A tough few weeks lie ahead for the Ladies team and Tshabalala is taking nothing for granted.
“We are playing all the top 5 teams in the coming weeks. The league is in our hands, and it’s up to us to throw it away, we need to remain focused”
“The girls are motivated, we want to be the first team in male or women’s football to win a league without dropping a single point.”
The Ladies’ will next play, University of Western Cape Ladies and will be looking to extend their unbeaten run to 18 – 0.
