Sundowns Ladies Ready to Unleash Youngsters Against Coal City Wizards

Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies have enjoyed an excellent season in the Hollywoodbets Super League thanks to their exciting and irresistible footballing outlay. The Brazilians have relentlessly played with exuberance and their extreme desire to rack up as many goals as possible, in as many ways as possible, constantly echoes the question – Are you not entertained?

The free-flowing attacking system under Coach Jerry Tshabalala has seen the reigning champions seize absolute control of proceedings in the Hollywoodbets Super League. But it isn’t just the dominance that sets Banyana Ba Style apart, it is the fact that they’re doing it in style. This season, The Brazilians have been fluid and their swaggering approach has seen them register 18 wins out of 20 games with just one game drawn and one ruled as a defeat. The high-flying reigning champions have also smashed in a whopping 68 goals, 25 more than the next best attack in the league! That’s serious firepower from a well-oiled artillery. Defensively, the Chookloop-based side has picked the ball from the back of their net just nine times.

Consequently, the rest of Africa has been alerted to the team’s attacking and defensive prowess. As Banyana Ba Style prepares for the inaugural edition of the TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Champions League which commences on the 5th of November, Coach Tshabalala has always expressed his desire to approach games on a ‘one at a time’ basis. Good things come to those who wait.

But before boarding the plane to the Land of the Pharaohs, Coach Tshabalala’s charges welcome Coal City Wizards to the Groenkloof Stadium on Saturday. Both teams clashed earlier this season in June with The Brazilians putting their opponents from Mpumalanga to the sword in a 5-0 drubbing.

Ahead of the game, Coach Tshabalala is looking to unleash his highly-talented youngsters as The Brazilians aim to move one step closer to retaining their league title.

“The game is a very tricky one as we are playing against a very smart side. The team has been dominating since the days of the SASOL League. Despite triumphing against them in our first meeting this season, we noticed they are a dangerous side and they are capable of playing to their strengths on a very good day. As much as the game is tricky, I am looking to give my 15-year-olds a run to see how they are faring. It is a game that would see us go very close to lifting the title. The plan is to deliver a good showing against Coal City Wizards, so we can shift our attention to the big one, which is the CAF Champions League,” said the highly experienced tactician.

Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies face off against the Coal City Wizards at the Groenkloof Stadium on Saturday and the kick-off time is at 15h00.
