Mamelodi Sundowns is pleased to announce that it has tied down two players; one a stabilising figure at the back and the second; one for the future.
Sundowns renewed Ricardo Nascimento’s contract with three more years. The Brazilian centreback joined the Brazilians two years ago and he has been a stabilising presence at the back.
His composure in difficult moments make him a huge asset not only in defence but in attack too as a penalty specialist. Bafana BaStyle also handed Siphelele “Pitso” Mkhulise a five-year contract. Mkhulise comes from the Brazilians’ development structure.
He impressed coach Pitso Mosimane so much that Jingles argued that he “wasted” his year by sending him on loan last season in the first division instead of promoting him into the senior team. The 22-year-old has held his own in the matches where he was given a chance. He starred against Kaizer Chiefs in the Shell Helix Ultra Cup to show the he has a bright future ahead of him.
