Co-coach Manqoba Mngqithi comments on the club’s decision to host the game in Polokwane as opposed to their usual home ground Loftus Versveld.“ we are a growing brand and we just acknowledge and appreciate that. As a team, we are trying to conquer as much space as we can in the country and Polokwane has proven to be good for us.”
The club has been making efforts to extend its supporter base by hosting activations prior to matches in different areas. Taking this game to Polokwane will only give supporters in the province an opportunity to witness the football action from Bafana Ba Style and the Buccaneers on Saturday afternoon. “Hosting the game in Polokwane is a good choice that was decided upon looking at the quality of the pitch. As a growing brand, it’s important for us to try and encompass as many people as we can to try and make sure that we make them feel at home and feel like a part of the successful team”, says Coach Mngqithi.
Coach Mnqithi adds that the club has had many other successful assignments in Polokwane therefore taking the game there will not disadvantage the team in any manner. He further mentions that the pitch at Peter Mokaba is by far the best they’ve seen and as a team, they’re always looking forward to playing on a good quality pitch.
Masandawana urges the Yellow Nation to come out in numbers in Polokwane to support the team as they brace themselves for the MTN8 action on Saturday. The team is prepared to fight for a spot in the Finals and defend their title as the defending Champions of the MTN8 Wafa Wafa Cup.
