WE ARE WORKING HARD TO WIN THE LEAGUE- LESIBA NKU

Dominant Mamelodi Sundowns are looking to continue with their winning ways in the DStv Premiership when they play host to Cape Town Spurs on a midweek thriller at Loftus Versfeld.

Masandawana continue to lead the table by a substantial margin and will look to extend the lead on Wednesday. Their counterparts are however at the bottom, with only one victory on their hands. This according to midfielder Lesiba Nku, is going to make the meeting a difficult one as the Cape Town based side will also be looking to make it out of the danger zone.

“I think this encounter won’t be an easy one. Cape Town Spurs are fighting at the bottom while we are also working hard to win the league. We try extremely hard to win each and every game that we play, so it won’t be an easy game,” Nku said.

Regardless of the log standings, Nku said his side will not underestimate the opponent and will continue with the mentality to win every game. He said: “we take each game as it comes and we prepare with a winning mentality. We don’t check the log standings, we just play to win.”
Bafana Ba Style are coming from a loss against Pyramids over the weekend in the CAF Champions League. They now have shifted their focus back to the domestic league and will want to win the encounter before heading back to Champions League.

“We are now going to play a league game and it is important that we win. Preparations have been going well. We are also recovering well, considering that we are playing games every after three days,” he concluded.

Mamelodi Sundowns are set to play against Cape Town Spurs on Wednesday evening. Kick off is at 19H30, live on SuperSport TV.

Pls coach have trust to all players you have at Downs because to us it seems the trusted one are your first eleven not the reserves.
You can’t say fatigue is creeping to your players because of too many games in a short space of time whereas we still have players like Ngobeni,Lunga and Zungu can easily replace your favourite Mokoena.I’m happy now because we will play to win nomakanjani in Champs League no more to many boring backpasses to the goalkeeper and the end we are told its Downs way of playing and I fully disagree on that, our team were giving opponents a hiding but nowadays it’s a slender one nil because of possession football on our half that is not hurting opponents and that team Pyramid to me is more dangerous than Al Ahly and Wydad,Lakay and Mayele will be a menace to us the whole game.
I know there are players whom are injured but give others a chance players like Seabi that boy is good together with Maboe,Maseko and Nku must sit on grandstand.
I always hear you saying you are fond of young players but we are not seeing them, there’s a boy at Mdc who scored a good peanult I forgotten his name an d he’s scoring goals at Mdc even Caresle can be unleash and help Shalulile not Lucas and Zwane they’re not strikers.
Let’s not waste money on Mayo who is very expensive whereas we’ve got good young strikers at Mdc.
Downs is not animal farm where others are more equal than others,Kby forever

Good luck,we turn to make easy games very difficult with the boring back passes. Hope we are not going to be annoyed tonight.

That was the Downs we know and love,it is even difficult to single out one top performer because we played as a team fought for one another. Our game had all the ingredients of a mature professional football. We bossed all the relevant areas. We were both offensive and aggressive and also entertaining with purpose. The players showed real hunger, this remained of the games we played against Supersport in the league,Galaxy in the carling knockout cup and the final we played against Pirates in the black label cup,the was lots of fighting spirit and high intensity. My advice to coach, build on this good performance and don’t play names and reputation which yield no results. If i’m not mistaken this is the first time ever Downs had this many completed passes in a single game,we did it without your trusted players.Very much impressed with the distribution of the keeper,he was making more advanced passes, that is how playing from the back mean. You build from the back making progressive passes,we had less turnovers and the opponents had zero shot at our goal.

Great 1st half. We faded in the 2nd half for obvious reasons, most of the players who started the game are not yet fit. I’m so happy to see Maphosa Modiba back, the only midfielder who makes things happen for us, especially in CAF competitions. I’ve always said that if Mbule takes his game seriously he’ll go far. The boy is just a marvel to watch, so much talented. He’ll simply replace the ineffective Tebogo Mokoena, both at club level and national level

Oh I forgot, great 1st half on our left wing as well where both Mashego and Nju were operating. Most of the damage came from that side. But wait for our clueless coach to replace Mashego with the useless Boutouil when he recovers from injury

What a game from fringe players Onyango,De Reuck,Mashego,Sirino,Mbule then Nkosi from the bench.I would like to say I’m dissatisfied by Mkhulise’s performance that is not growing to another level and Nku is just adding numbers at Sundowns.Shalulile is just maturing with age like an old wine. What I admire most is the players who were selected then keep the fire burning.I thought Zungu was going to start the game.Congratulations to Sundowns & its supporters.
