Mamelodi Sundowns are looking to return to winning ways when they face Stellenbosch on Saturday in Pretoria.
There are two more games to go before the DStv Premiership Champions can taste the fruits of their blood, sweat and tears. Masandawana have gone through the extra mile to ensure the success of their 2021/22 season domestically, but before celebrations can commence, Bafana Ba Style are preparing themselves to meet fifth placed Stellies. Downs’ goalkeeper Reyaad Pieterse declared that the team is looking for triumph in their last fixture on home ground.
“We want to finish our last home game with a victory, [keep the] clean sheet, [give a] good performance and help our teammates achieve their goals.”
The Brazilians and Stellies are both seeking a win from this duel after coming from a draw on the weekend. The Cape Town based outfit presented a testing encounter for Masandawana in their first meeting of the season at the Danie Craven Stadium as both teams settled for a point each in their 1-1 draw. The Bafana Ba Style goalie expressed the desire to have their supporters coming to the stadium to attend their send off as they play on home ground for the last time this season.
“The yellow nation has helped us tremendously. [They] carried us over the line & assisted the team in reaching five championships back to back.”
“Masandawana we urge you to come in numbers because really the boys feel the energy you bring and you really are the 12th man. Come and witness good energy and good football. We are grateful for the support [that you give us] thank you yellow nation.”
