We Want To Win And Achieve Everything That’s Up For Grabs In The PSL – Andile Jali

“We want to win and achieve everything that’s up for grabs in the PSL” – Andile Jali.

Mamelodi Sundowns are gearing up to face Royal AM in the capital on Wednesday afternoon in the DStv Premiership at Loftus Stadium.

The Tshwane giants lead the way in the league on 31 points, while Royal sit in third place with nine points behind The Brazilians. After dropping points from the weekend’s encounter, Downs’ midfielder Andile Jali said that this game is what the team needs to keep them in good form.

“We’ve been waiting to play this game, we know that it’s an important game to us. We recently just lost 2 points on Saturday against Stellenbosch and now coming into this game we are very motivated and everyone is willing to fight. It’s [also] a good thing that we want to win and achieve everything that’s up for grabs in the PSL, for us this is a good game that’s going to keep us at the top.”

“We’ve been fighting since the beginning, as you can see we’ve all been getting individual awards as different players, that shows that there isn’t only one person working hard, the more we get these individual awards the more the team comes together.”

The games are coming thick and fast and Bafana Ba Style will be hoping to make it their first win in December. Both sides played Saturday giving them the same amount of preparation time for the encounter. “Thwihli Thwahla” have won two of their last five games and lost in their one away game before returning home to claim a 1-0 win.

“We know what they are coming here to do and what they are capable of, we are prepared for them. They also want to do their best, they are already motivated because we know that everyone wants to prove that they can play football against Sundowns.” Said Jali.

The former Bafana Bafana international also made note of the players that the opposition will be looking for answers from. He said: ” [Victor] Letsoalo has been scoring for them, we have to watch out for him and his speed going forward. We know [Kabelo] Mahlasela in the middle is a good player and we must take care of him.”

The 31-year-old is part of the senior players at Chloorkop and has proven to be an integral cog in the middle of the park to help Masandawana in finding stability in their play. AJ is amongst the outstanding players to have received the man of the match award this season as the team continues to dominate the domestic league.

“I’m doing my best to guide the youngsters in the team [because] when the mood is good in the team and we’re all backing each other up we can win.”

Mamelodi Sundowns will do battle with Royal AM on Wednesday afternoon at Loftus Stadium, kick off is at 15h30. This game will be televised live on SuperSport channel 202.

AJ has indeed been a marvel to watch, he as been putting a good shift in the absence of Rivaldo. He is always giving a Man of the Match performance. The man’s presence is felt. I wonder if the new role does not allow this man to shoot?
Mhlekazi , tell the boys that the draws are now too much. Tell Shalulile also to double the figures, what is he waiting for?

    All the best.

If Sundowns wants to win this game shouldn’t include Kutumela. Domingo and Lebusa on starting Xi Mkhulise. SIRINO.DE ruke should be on Xi

You’re part of the problem Andile. You and Domingo are actually offering us nothing in that midfield. Our strikers are starved of service and tend to drop deep to collect balls. Please up your game
