Banyana Ba Style Fine Tune Strategies Ahead of Lindelani Ladies Fixture

Table-topping Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies are gearing up for their 17th game of this season’s Hollywoodbets Super League as they prepare to face newly promoted Lindelani Ladies on Saturday.

Banyana Ba Style heads into the fixture on the back of a 1-0 win over the University of Fort Hare last time out, a victory that marked their 13th win in 16 games. The Brazilians have smashed in 64 goals while conceding just 10.

Nthabiseng Majiya, the leading Sundowns’ scorer with 10 goals, has praised the team’s current form, particularly highlighting their tenacious win in their last game. She said, “We have begun the season very strongly and have been severely tested in some games like the last one. In that match, we created numerous chances but could not convert them all. Fortunately, our team’s depth secured maximum points. Expectations are high and we are constantly striving for maximum points in every game.”

In their earlier clash this season, the Tshwane giants delivered a ruthless 7-0 victory over the newly promoted side, with Miche Minnies bagging an impressive hat-trick while Boitumelo Rabale grabbed a brace.

However, Majiya insists they cannot be taken for granted on their home turf, stating, “We cannot rely on the statistics, but we know what we want as we play them. We are focused on making our supporters happy and to improve on our finishing to avoid any surprises,” Nthabiseng concluded.

Lerato Kgasago also anticipates an ultra-defensive strategy from the KwaZulu-Natal side, “We expect them to defend deeply considering the result of our first meeting. Nevertheless, we are working hard on converting the chances we create because everyone is focused on getting three points in Durban.”

Kgasago further rallied the Yellow Nation supporters ahead of the Durban trip, adding, “We feel strong as a team and their cheers will undoubtedly boost our spirits even more. We are heading to Durban with victory in mind and together, we can make it happen.”

The match between Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies and newly promoted Lindelani Ladies is scheduled to take place on Sunday, June 30th, at the Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium. Kick-off is set for 15:00 and will be broadcast live on SABC 1.
