Bongani Zungu Geared Up for Coton Sport

Mamelodi Sundowns will be looking to collect three points from their game against Coton Sport FC. The Brazilians meet Coton Sport tonight for their CAF Champions League Group Stages campaign. The game will take place at the Omnisports Roumde Ad Stadium and will kick off at 18h00.

Masandawana Midfielder Bongani Zungu shared his insights on the CAF CL clash. “Coton Sport is a good team that has players with impressive qualities as well as good form. We have watched their games and we are aware of their capabilities on the pitch. We are a competitive team, and we always play games to win them. I am hoping for a wonderful game and points added on our side.”

The Brazilian Midfielder holds great continental and international football experience as he has played for French Ligue 1 side SC Amiens and as well as for the South African National team. With his experience, he hopes to assist the team to achieve its assignment for tonight’s game against a motivated side.

Determined to fight for this season’s CAF CL title, Zungu shared that the team is committed to winning their away game against Coton Sport and every other game in the competition. He added that the squad is prepared to work hard in order to get closer to securing the title and the second star.

“We are looking forward to the game and we respect our opponents. As a team, we are hoping for a win and good entertainment for African football. At Sundowns, the assignment is always clear which is to win the game and dominate on the pitch”, said Zungu as he shared the squad’s intentions ahead of the fixture.

Zungu communicated the club’s improvements and how they align with his goals. He mentioned that since his return to the club, he has seen great improvements in different areas and highlighted the quality of players the club has. He added the club is big on growth and improvement which make up his objectives. The Brazilian revealed that his mindset since his return has been on working hard and waiting to be called up to start, and it is important to put out a great performance when given the opportunity.

The squad hopes to come out of the away match with maximum points and make the yellow nation proud. The fixture will be broadcast live on SuperSport channel SS 208.
