Brazilians go up against Stellenbosch as they fight on in the Absa Premiership

The Brazilians get back to business again, as they go up against new boys in the Premiership, Stellenbosch FC. These two teams last met in December with, Sundowns showing their experience taking all three points in a 3-1 home win at Loftus Versfeld. The Brazilians are in a rich vein of form in the Absa Premiership having won their last three games on the trot.

Sundowns are currently second in the league with two games in hand over log leaders Kaizer Chiefs. When the boys last played, they bagged a crucial 3 points disposing of Bloem Celtics 2-1, courtesy of goals from Vilakazi and an absolute humdinger of a free-kick from Skipper Hlompho Kekana. The Brazilians have a busy schedule as this month draws to a close, with the boys still competing for silverware in two competitions.

The hosts Stellenbosch have had a mixed bag of results, winning two of their last four games and suffering a heavy 3-0 defeat in their last outing, away against Maritzburg United at the Harry Gwala Stadium. Their fixture list does not get any easier as they go up against the Brazilians who will do them no favours, as they attempt to close the gap on the league leaders Kaizer Chiefs.

Match Details:
Sundowns vs Stellenbosch is scheduled for this Wednesday night in Cape Town. Kick-off will be at 19h30 (CAT) at Athlone Stadium.

All the Best to the team. We do not have the luxury to choose games, l hope the players understand the stage at which the team is at, the fight must begin today, not to wait for too long.Every game matters.KBY

I understand what you are implying, and is true that our team keep frustrating us when coming to PSL catch-up games. The gap between us and Chiefs shouldn’t be at seven or even eight by now. We could have been clever enough knowing that we might not make it in the CAF Champions, but the coach and his technical team saw it otherwise. For example off-form players were played regularly, substitutions were not instituted when they were suppose to be made, and many other costly mistakes. Suddenly, we start believing we can pull up the socks and catch -up with Chiefs. Well it’s fine. But personally I indicated before playing Al Ahly in the second round / game of last week to say, maybe we need to focus on league and Nedbank, they are promising and doable. Lastly, I think is best if coach can field his amateur team in the first match of 2021 CAF so that if they lose, then it will allow them sabbatical leave to re-energise. You can see those players are tired, five years in succession without rest is no child’ play. We are lucky that even when we not playing good football sometimes but somehow goals just come our way. I do not want to see a tired Sundowns facing a refreshed Chiefs in the coming future fixture and Chiefs beat us twice in one season. No.

Dear Downs family. Without taking anything away from players, but was there any need to sign Kapinga especially with rumours going around about him signing with the team. I thought we already have likes of Sirino with same features as those of Kapinga – that is, short, small-body size, dribbler, you name them. So why is it that when we want to compete these tall African defenders that we see in the CAF league, and also the likes of local defenders as Happy Jele, Mathoho etc; but we still recruit players with Kapinga’s physique. I thought from the likes of Vilakazi, Mezza, Laffor, we going to get more of physical fighters- who will fight for goals in front of the box, not entertainers. I sometimes give coach the benefit of a doubt and time to prove some of his strategies, but I think this time he got it wrong. Well, we will wait to see, what remains is that Downs is our team and we will stick with it no matter the circumstances

  4. Legal nurse professionals have the advantage (as well as downside) of
merging 2 various disciplines: law and medication. As long
as you have actually worked as a registered nurse for a minimum of
5 years, you can choose to become a legal registered nurse
expert. These types of professionals are able to give support to
attorneys by analyzing clinical papers as well as explaining any medical-related issues that pertain to their situation. They are also able to supply their services as skilled witnesses on the stand, if needed, so these registered
    nurses are very well trained.

They’re really convincing and can certainly work. Nonetheless, the posts
are too brief for newbies. May just you please extend them
a little from next time? Thanks for the post.
