Coach Rulani Mokwena on the match against Stellenbosch

Mamelodi Sundowns have not lost a game against Stellenbosch Fc, the side from the Cape Winelands was promoted in 2018/19 after winning the Glad Africa Championship. In the 2019/20 season, Masandawana played Stellies twice and on both occasions came out victorious.

In the first round of last season Themba Zwane, Keletso Makgalwa and Sphelele Mkhulise were on the score sheet and Stellies, it was Ryan Moon.

Coach Rulani Mokwena shared his analysis of the upcoming game “Under the circumstances, training has been good. We have tried to work on a couple of things. From our game against AmaZulu, there is a lot that we will take from that game. We are ready for the next clash against Stellenbosch, they have brought in some important players. The likes of Nathan Sinkalan Asavela Mbekile, Granwald Scott and the new signings of Phatu Nage and Mendieta”.

This will be the third meeting between the two sides since the Steve Barker led side was promoted.

They have speed in their team, the likes of Ashley Du Preez, Lelethu Skelem. This gives them complexity and they also have a solid defence line with Robyn Johannes and Alan Roberts who can play at the back. We have done our homework. We have seen where they have a couple of strengths, where we must control and a couple of weaknesses we can exploit and hopefully on matchday, it comes out” said Coach Rulani Mokwena.

Hoping to see a different combination at the back, nothing much should be changed just tweeckle a bit.

Upfront hoping that the Boys will be ruthless we are playing in a familiar place.

All the Best to the team, We Congratulate our Former Couch Pitso Mosimane for winning the Champions league.A moment meets the man for real. When its your time all things are possible. What excites me the most is the son of the Soil has achieved it. The man of stars. What an achievement! Wydad could not stand on his way, it was destined that Pitso would put his hands on the Prestigious trophy. When its your time haters also have no choice but to love you.

We are behind you boys let’s keep going and keep focused because the league belongs to you. Keep going yellow family

Our team is commonly known for standing in the players way for furthering their careers. If Sirinoh want to leave, just sell the player for the right price and don’t look at where he is going.I just didn’t understand how our team operate, they want to buy players from other team but don’t want to sell players,it doesn’t make sense. We have young better SA players than Sirinoh who can also help Bafana. In SA we have this chronic of not believing in youngsters. The team has been doing extremely good without Sirino,he is not Downs and Downs won’t perish without him.

I also think that Sirino must go if he wants to , Sundowns is bigger than him, after all we are doing fine without him, he is no better than the players that are playing currently. He can’t put Mshishi , Romeo and Shalulile on the bench at all.
