The draw for the quarterfinals of the Telkom Knockout was conducted on Tuesday night and Mamelodi Sundowns discovered their opponents for the next phase of the cup tie.
Following the proceedings, it was revealed that the Brazilians will then face Chippa United in the last eight of the competition and the round of matches will be scheduled for the weekend of November 2-3 and venues to be confirmed at a later stages.
Sundowns beat AmaZulu 5-0 this past Sunday at the Lucas Moripe Stadium to progress to the quarterfinals and will now have to travel as they were drawn to be the away team against Chippa United last night.
The Brazilians were emphatic in their victory in the opening round of the cup, goals coming from Ali Meza, a brace from Gaston Sirino and a domestic goal on debut for Mauricio Affonso, while the fifth one was an own goal from AmaZulu defender Mario Booysen.
Coach Pitso Mosimane has emphasised the importance of Sundowns being determined to go all the way in the TKO tournament to give the fans something to smile about.
