Maluleka elated with his first goal for Masandawana

Mamelodi Sundowns ended the group stages of the CAF Champions League with a 3-0 victory over Sudan’s Al Merrikh, the win seals Masandawana’s place on top and all of this was done without recording a loss and winning all their games and becoming the first team in the history of the competition to accumulate sixteen points.

George Maluleka, who made his first start for the Brazilians this season in the competition,

The midfielder shared about his performance in the game and said, “The game was good, as you know I haven’t started in a while, I have been out with injuries but it felt good to be part of the team and I am here to play. The game was challenging, thanks to my teammates who were the to help me, I struggled a bit in the second half but I am happy with the results but there is a lot to improve on”.

“Mido” scored the opener in the fifteenth minute and this was his first goal in the colours of the club.

“It was very special for me, this is my first goal for the club, this one will go into my archives and what a way to make a comeback, to score a goal and the team wins. Credit must go to everyone, my teammates and the technical team”.

The Tembisa born played sixty-eight minutes at a half-packed FNB Stadium and he got a round of applause from the Yellow Nation as he made way after a great performance.

“That was a very special moment for me as the Mamelodi Sundowns supporters showed me, love, I got goosebumps when I walked off, I appreciate their support. I am lost for words, I am very happy and excited for what’s coming up and the victory sealed off a great day for me, the club and the supporters” concluded Maluleka.

The team played extremely well, big up to the technical team for job well done.My main concerns in that game are,Domingo’s poor finishing and bad ball control,he needs to work on that,he should have scored at least brace, his work rate is very impressive,Last big concern is Lebusa, soccer has evolved, defenders and keepers initiate attack in modern soccer but with Lebusa 90% of his passes were to a goal keeper, his forward passes are always wrong,we nearly conceded had it not been Pisterse’s agility. The guy doesn’t learn, remember against Sekhukhune Denis got red card because if his poor back pass and a game against Ahly last season in Cairo. Please don’t play him in the next stage of the champions league and Nedbank and play him when we have already wrapped up the league, pls, pls, pls. We are almost at the finish line in all these 3 competitions,no room for schoolboy errors.THE SKY IS THE LIMIT.

@ downs4ever I agree member, told my sandawana fans on WhatsApp on Saturday that Domingo’s first touch is very poor, no ball control skills at all, and this is almost at every game he plays. Members pls dnt butcher me I’m just stating the obvious, he is downs material no doubt abt that. This CAF is ours members
