Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies team had a great season in the inaugural SAFA National Women’s league as they won the competition without registering a loss, as well as making history for the club to have both, men and women, winning their respective leagues in the same year.
With great results comes recognition and the Jerry Tshabalala led team has had seven ladies selected for Banyana Banyana to represent the country in the CoSAFA Cup to be played in Port Elizabeth from the 2nd till the 14th of November.
The ladies who will be flying the Brazilians’ flag in the national team are Andile Dlamini, Karabo Makhurubetshi, Lebogang Mabatle, Karabo Dhlamini, Nonhlanhla Mthandi, Oratile Mokoena and Chantelle Esau. The ladies will report for camp on the 20th of October in Johannesburg.
