Mosimane: We Want At Least One Cup

Pitso Mosimane has warned of the threat AmaZulu pose ahead of tomorrow afternoon’s last 16 Telkom Knockout clash at the Lucas Moripe Stadium.

Discussing the game, the Mamelodi Sundowns coach singled out a few of their players, who could have an impact in the match and also highlighted that Usuthu have had a few weeks to try understand how new coach Josef Vukusic wants them to play.

“He did well at Polokwane City and turned them around and you could see with the teams that they have already faced they didn’t do badly. They could have had some good results, and they were also able to beat Cape Town City and that was their last game before the international break,” Mosimane said.

He then emphasised that Sundowns are keen to try repeat their TKO triumph from 2015 when they won the cup in Durban.

“You know the coach has then been working hard to improve them and the players are fresh. Their goalkeeper is doing well and they have Bongi Ntuli doing well, scoring the goals and combining with Talent Chawapiwa, what a wonderful goal they created together against Cape Town City. We know that sometimes in the cup games we don’t rise to the occasion as we are expected to. Last year we lost to Baroka, fair and square. But we run a different programme and we want to win at least one of the domestic cups,” explained Mosimane.

Let me take this Opportunity to congratulate the Mighty medical team, Fitness team, Technical team, The mighty foot soldiers and the mighty Supporters of this yellow Machine Thank you very much for your continued hard working and also thank you to the ever fearless coach of this yellow machine, What a demolition of Amazulu today, we did not need the referee to assist us like other team here, we did a good job and managed to make substitutions early to allow our players to recover for the 2 remaining games this week. I think Affonso will give us the option we were missing in the team. All the players played very well hard luck to Andile wish you speedy recovery. Mara Members this Denis is amazing neh? KBY
