Unstoppable Sundowns Ladies Gear Up for Tuks Test

Fresh from their impressive 3–1 victory over TS Galaxy Queens, Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies will look to extend their winning streak to nine matches when they face the University of Pretoria in another exciting Hollywoodbets Super League encounter at the Tuks Stadium this Saturday evening.

The Brazilians have been in superb form, combining clinical finishing with strong defensive organization, and will be eager to maintain their momentum as the season nears its final stretch.

Banyana Ba Style currently sits seven points clear at the top of the table, having recorded 18 wins and two draws from 22 matches. However, the players and technical team know that complacency is never an option, particularly against a determined and tactically disciplined Tuks side playing at home.

Forward Nthabiseng Majiya, who has been one of the standout performers this season, emphasized the importance of staying grounded and prepared for every challenge.

“I think what is important is to manage every game we play so that we can perform well. We have been preparing for this match, knowing that it will not be an easy one and we have spent time understanding how the opposition plays so that we can adapt accordingly. For us, the main goal is to win every match we play, no matter who the opponent is and to finish the league campaign with a strong result. That is what drives us every day.”

Defender Thato Letsoso, who has been in fine form this season, echoed those sentiments and praised the team’s resilience.

“We are taking each game as it comes and approaching every match with the same intensity, as though we are playing a Champions League final. It has been truly exciting to see everyone back from injury. We now have a full squad and that is a huge boost for the team. It is of utmost importance that we remain consistent in our training so that our results continue to reflect our hard work. Consistency in training and composure during difficult moments are what keep us performing at the level required to win titles.”

Sundowns Ladies have enjoyed a dominant record against the University of Pretoria in recent times. In 2024, they delivered an emphatic 8–0 triumph at home before following it up with a convincing 3–0 victory away. Earlier this season, the Brazilians maintained their impressive form with a composed 2–0 win over Tuks, courtesy of goals from Noxolo Cesane and Boitumelo Rabale.

Sundowns Ladies are set to face the University of Pretoria at Tuks Main Stadium on Saturday, 11 October 2025, with kickoff scheduled for 18:00.

All the best ladies … we can see the finishing line now but no room for error … lets just go out there and show them that we are the perennial defending league champions … no team team will lift this trophy … it will take really a miracle for any team to topple us as the undisputed league champions … every season we strengthen our squad … and other teams are left behind when it come s to that … bug ups to Sapula who I must admit I doubted when he initially took over as an interim coach more especially when we lost those 2 league games in a short space of time … now the girls seem to understand his philosophy and the rewards are evident …Good luck tomorrow
