It’s always a good feeling being called up to represent your country – Lakay

South Africa is playing a crucial Africa Cup of Nations qualifier tonight against Sao Tome and Principe at Moses Mabhida Stadium. Bafana Bafana is in position three after two games with three points and is six points behind log leaders Ghana.

Mamelodi Sundowns left wing-back Lyle Lakay has received a call up to the senior team after some great performances for the club.

He said that “it’s always a good feeling being called up to represent your country and it shows that I am doing well. There is always room for improvement and this call up is a huge confidence booster”.

Bafana Bafana will play Sao Tome twice and will need to collect maximum points to close the gap with the leader’s Ghana.

“Most of the guys that are in the national team have been here for some time and have the experience to do the job. For myself I would say the experience I gained in the CAF Champions League will help me get the desired results in both games”, said Lakay

It’s is good news that you have been given the call up to the national team

Continue to work hard you will be rewarded

I believe Makgalwa must start with one of our senior strikers,

It is painful to say this , I think Lebusa must be given a game time bcoz
He is a national team player

It is sad bcoz his teammate is enjoyn his
Foot ball but you cannot have a national team player on bench
