The next big task for Mamelodi Sundowns is a clash in the Nedbank Cup final against Bloemfontein Celtic at Orlando Stadium, the Brazilians have already won the Telkom Knockout as well as the League and have a huge opportunity to win the treble with only Siwelele standing in their way.
Coach Pitso Mosimane spoke to the media in a press conference and gave an update on how the team is doing, “we have started training yesterday and the boys responded well, of course They are still coming out from where we were with the Absa Premier League, but even today they look OK, I’m happy with what I saw.”
Coach Pitso Mosimane also gave some feedback regarding the injury status of the boys after the last game of the league.
“We just have those niggling injuries. It’s normal when you just come from a battle, you come with wounded soldiers and deep scars, we rested a few guys who are not yet back from injury. Sirino has got a niggling injury, we don’t know if he will make it. Hlompho we just arrested him because this guy has played all the minutes in the bubble. Dennis is training well, so hopefully, he’s OK. Musa has not started training. It’s just minor knocks, you know, when you come from the game. But nothing big, bigger than the old Ricardo who’s got a hand, a wrist that also gives him a problem. That’s why he’s been playing with the wristband. But I don’t know if we should be OK one on one on that side.”
“It is a difficult game, of course, Siwelele are a different team, difficult team, those guys are enjoying themselves, the happy team, free-spirited, and then they play good football. They pass. I just saw the game last night, one of the games they played, they can just pass the ball played against Bidvest Wits. It is a team that has got nothing to lose but to give everything. That’s how I see the game,” concluded Coach Pitso Mosimane.

In Sir Jingles we believe . Mshishi is at his best(Win this for us and take your player of the season crown) , Sirino our magician . Please let Mweene ( Mr safe hands) finish up we dont want the recently unreliable Onyango. Maboe finish them up boy and all will be forgotten . We thank GOD for all the blessings(Our coaches , President , Mshishi,Sirinio and the boys) at Sundowns.
Make us proud boys ,go out there and do the job, suffocate them like the way we pressed Leopards. To my technical team,i urge to watch the videos of that Mosele boy (jersey 14) from Baroka, the boy is a good central midfielder,a hard worker, good ball distributor, defends well, height plus age are on his side.He can be a perfect replacement for Kekana.

When Sundowns “mark, runs, chase, stick-in, pass, space-move, tackle, fight 4 everything in the air, close space, convert, play n work collectively as a team! Nobody can stop us
We patiently wait to see new history recorded. To be where the team is just a cear sign of a team executing the plan. The power of the spoken word is coming to effect. The only way to unsettle Bloem Celtic is to score them, but that is a team that will come at you. There are also good on the ball, they run. We shall stand tall and be equal to the task. We are convinced from the last match that the team can continue to put up a fight and play for a good result. History is sometime unfair, it has a tendancy to ignore the second place or second best, it only records the Champions. It can only highlight the second best when it is recorded that a small team, a giant kiler having won. Then the small team’s victory becomes famous , but its popularity will be attached to the second best. It will amaze you how Sundowns has collectively achieved as a team without dangerous strikers. It is evident in records ,amongst the top goal scorers we do not appear but we are emerging on top. Just winning games with less goals ,on very less occasions we have had a brace let alone a Maboe record. But the team has done it, The tactics employed by Coach Pitso are easy to be undermined by anyone who lacks understanding in football and many has beenn proven wrong. Many a times us supporters have been quick to throw a towel, and yet be proven wrong. That is the beauty of the game. We can air our views and opinions but no players have given a chance to explain themselves. Above all things supporters of the Yellow Nation have endorsed a forgiving culture and begrudge no body. Few extremes , but understadable, because of the love of the game. We are beind the team in full force, all the best Masandawana.
