They Motivate Us So We Will Be Playing Our Hearts Out For Them – Grant Kekana

Mamelodi Sundowns are laying the groundwork for their last dance at home when they host Stellebosch FC on Saturday.

Masandawana have successfully defended their DStv Premiership title but the reigning Champions still have more work to complete before they could finally taste the rewards for a season’s worth of hard work. Masandawana are due to play their final home game on Saturday at the TUKS Stadium in what will be decorated under the theme, “Heroes Homecoming”, as the Champions play one more time in their City before going to lift the trophy a week later in Durban.

“I have good memories at the Tuks stadium all three of my goals for Tuks came at that stadium and it’s been a stadium I enjoyed playing at a lot.” Said Masandawana’s defender Grant Kekana. The 29-year-old who spent a long-term of his career polishing up his career at the TUKS stadium added that the fans continue to play a huge part in taking the club to the next level.

“It will be very important to have their support. We would’ve liked to finish at home and celebrate the title with them but we’ll be away for the last game. They keep us going, they motivate us so we will be playing our hearts out for them.”

The Brazilians shared the spoils against Stellies in their previous encounter at the Danie Craven Stadium in Cape Town. Bafana Ba Style will be looking for positive results when they play against their coastal opponents, Kekana believes that the presence and support of the Yellow Nation will play a role in their encounter.

“With home games now we’re able to have the majority of our supporters back so it helps with the atmosphere in the stadium.”

The Brazilians do battle with Stellenbosch FC at the TUKS Stadium this Saturday in the final home game of the season, kick off will be at 15H00 and the game will be televised on SuperSport 202.
